We, a local school PTA committee, regularly meet at the pub and hold our monthly meetings. It's a great location for all of us to get to, good food and always great service with friendly staff (who are very accommodating) I myself live within walking distance and sometimes come with my family and the kids love the outside space to play in. Highly recommend to anyone to come and see for themselves. (Dog friendly too!)
We stopped for lunch twice in a week, on the way too and from the coast. Both times we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the venue and the quality of the food served. We ordered a selection of food for adults and kids, the portions were just right and everything was well presented and cooked just right. We were looked after by Emily, who provided top-class service with a smile. If you are passing this pub, I would highly recommend The Portsmouth Arms, for good food and friendly service. If we didn't live 60 miles away we'd be regulars!
Lovely pub layout. Relaxed atmosphere and the steak and tanglefoot pie was lovely. The staff accommodated changes I requested (beans and chips instead of mash) would definitively recommend.

What a fantastic little gem of a place! (Well it is quite big) On a busy Easter weekend - fantastic service, brilliant well priced food. Great atmosphere. Just fantastic well done all the staff but the 2 girls who looked after were just brilliant.
We are regulars for food abd drink. We bring our 2 large dogs and they are always welcome and they have free dog treats behind the bar and plenty of water bowls. Large car park and large attractive well maintained garden with plenty of seating. The pub is attractive from both outside and inside being build with timber reclaimed from ships. Always a big supported of St Michael's Hospice with s very good meat draw Sunday lunchtime and Quiz Sunday night and other events. You will always get a warm welcome from Zoe and her team.
